50th Intl. Nathiagali Summer College

Activity - I: Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning
(17th - 21st June, 2025)

The field of "Artificial Intelligence Research" founded as an academic discipline at Dartmouth College in 1956, braving the gory winters, has finally established itself as a reality that can transform humanity. With the nature of model inferences evolving from recognition to being generative, the boundary between fact and fiction seems to be fading away. On the other hand, AI explores Physics and Chemistry frontiers to win Nobel Prize. Such is the grandeur of this latest chapter in human history. The pursuit of excellence in Artificial Intelligence is what intrigues mankind today.

At the Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning (AI & ML) activity of International Nathiagali Summer College (INSC), research community leading the current AI revolution, gets together to discuss emerging trends and disciplines within the most cutting-edge AI technology. The previous AI activities at INSC have been graced by leading figures from industry and academia hailing from University of California (UC) Berkeley, Cardiff University, University of South Wales, Université Polytechnique Hauts-de-France, New York University (NYU), University of Cyprus, University of Kaiserslautern, Johannes Kepler University, Shenzhen University, University of Pittsburgh, Qatar Environment & Energy Research Institute, Hamad bin Khalifa University, Electronics and Telecommunication Research Institute (ETRI), Istanbul Medipol University and University of the West of Scotland. Keeping up with the tradition, this year's AI & ML activity at INSC-50 will cover state-of-the-art areas in AI research, such as:

Subtopics:

  • Generative AI: From LLMs to LMMs and beyond
  • Agentic AI: The world of autonomous agents
  • Industry 5.0: AI-based human-centric ecosystem
  • AI augmented security of cyber-physical systems
  • Neuromorphic computing and brain-inspired AI
  • Artificial General Intelligence: Cognitive AI
  • Ethical AI: AI governance framework
